API Hackathon Sharing - Evelyn Peh.mp4

PolyFinTech 100 continues to inspire the next generation of youths about FinTech through its annual API Hackathon. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the hackathon was hosted virtually. Objective of this hackathon is to nurture FinTech talent to meet the rapidly changing needs of the financial services sector. Students from the 5 local polytechnics were invited to develop FinTech prototypes using Open APIs from the industry to address real world problem statements, such as more efficient GST refunds for tourists, AI-based e-payment service for hawker centres, peer-to-peer micro-lending platform for students, etc. Finalist will get a chance to showcase their ideas at the Singapore FinTech Festival 2021.
